Elisa - Owner of Paint with Magenta
Elisa Mack is an Artist, Illustrator, and Art Instructor. Based out of Salem, Oregon, she hosts Wine & Watercolor classes all over the Willamette Valley, with partnerships at various wineries and locally owned businesses. She has been teaching for 3+ years.
She was taught to paint by her grandmother in high school and has now been painting with watercolor for over 15 years. She has completed dozens of pet portrait commissions over the years.
She has recently illustrated and helped publish a children's book called "The Onion Bird," a story about two children celebrating the beautiful Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
She is a mother of three beautiful girls and has a cat and a leopard gecko to keep her company in her home studio.

The idea behind Magenta was born through the pandemic - watching so many people pick up and teach themselves new creative hobbies to pass the time and keep their hands busy, during the most tumultuous time in generations. I found that so many people discovered amazing new things, but not without the struggle of teaching themselves, watching hours of YouTube, or realizing that they ordered the wrong supplies off of Amazon.
I looked back on previous years, and even previous eras of crafting together. People have gotten together for centuries for quilting bees, scrapbooking parties, creating together and learning from each other. I have my own personal experience of taking classes or even painting together with friends - the final product from creating together has the memories of togetherness woven into it's very fibers.
So. That is the heart and the mission behind Magenta.

I host private events for Birthdays, Bachelorettes, Girls Night, team building, and any other special occasion. I bring all the materials, provide quality instruction, and make sure that each individual feels supported and successful. Contact me for easy booking and a unique activity to spice up your weekend.
Public Events
I host a myriad of different classes all over the Willamette Valley. From Paint 'n Sip events at local wineries to Kid's Classes at Salem's Riverfront Carousel. Choose from different locations and paintings for a perfect afternoon of creativity.
